Corinthians 2- Paul's Message, the Spirit's Power

When I came to visit you, brothers, I didn't come giving eloquent speeches or human wisdom, but simply declared to you the evidence for God.

For I decided I wouldn't talk about anything else while I was with you but Jesus the Anointed One.

While I was with you, I was weak, and fearful, and trembling.

I didn't talk or preach with persuasive words or worldly wisdom and logic, but  I simply let God's Spirit show His power.

So that your faith wouldn't be based in human wisdom, but in the power of God.

Wisdom from the Spirit of God

However, to those who are mature in God, we will speak a message of wisdom, though not of worldly wisdom or things that seem wise to rulers of this world. Those kinds of wisdom will come to nothing.

But we talk about God's secret, hidden wisdom, which He decreed before the world began for our glory.

Which none of the rulers of this world understood. I they had known it, they would not have crucified the Boss of glory.

But as it is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

Isaiah 64:4- For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, beside Thee, what He has prepared for him that waits for Him.

But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit, because the Spirit searches everything, yes, even the deep things of God.

Because who knows what goes on inside a person, except for the spirit of that person? In the same way, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Now we don't have the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us from God.

And these are also the things we talk about, not in the words the world thinks wise, but which the Holy Ghost gives us, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

But the physical man can't understand the things of the Spirit of God, because they sound like  foolishness to him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually understood.

But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

For who has known the mind of Our Boss, so that he can teach him? But we have the mind of Anointed One.
