Corinthians 5- Immorality Rebuked

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such immorality that even the unbelievers won't talk about; that a man has sex with his father's wife.

And you are proud of yourselves, instead of mourning. You should remove this man from your congregation.

Even though I am not there with you physically, I'm there in spirit and have already passed judgement against the one who has done this as if I was there.

In the power of our Boss Jesus the Anointed One, call a meeting, (I will be with you in spirit and you have the power of our Boss Jesus the Anointed One),

And throw this man out of the church, turning him over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit might be saved on the day that Boss Jesus returns.

Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast makes the whole dough rise?

So cut out the old yeast (the one who is sinning), so that you can become a new lump of unleavened dough, which is what you really are, because The Anointed One is our passover who was sacrificed for us.

And so let's keep the feast, not with old bread leavened with the desire to do evil and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity, purity, and truth.

Expel the Immoral Brother

I wrote you a letter telling you not to hang around with people who live sexually immoral lives.

But I wasn't talking about unbelievers who are sexually immoral, or those who are greedy, or cheat people, or worship idols, because you would have to leave the planet to do that.

But I meant not to hang around with anyone who claims to be a believer who is sexually immoral, greedy, a cheater, an abuser, an alcoholic, or worships idols. Don't' even eat with them.

Because I don't have any business condemning those who are outside the Church. But aren't you supposed to condemn those inside?

God judges the unbelievers. But as the scripture says, "You must remove the evil person from among you."

Deuteronomy 13:5
"... So you must purge the evil from among you."
