1 The I AM spoke to Moses, saying,
2 This will be the law for a leper on the day he is cleansed; he will come to the priest,
3 And the priest will go out of the camp to meet him, and look at him. If the leprosy is healed,
4 Then will the priest command to take two clean, alive birds, plus cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop for his cleansing,
5 The priest will command that one of the birds is killed in a clay pot over running water.
6 And the living bird, he will take with the cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop, and will dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water.
7 And then he will sprinkle the blood on him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and will pronounce him clean, and then he will let the living bird loose into the open field.
8 And he that is being cleansed will wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, so that he may be clean. After that he can come into the camp, but he must stay outside his tent for seven days.
9 On the seventh day, he will shave off his hair from head, including his beard and his eyebrows. He must shave off all his hair. Then he will wash his clothes, and take a bath, and then he is clean.
10 On the eighth day he must take two perfect, male lambs, and one, perfect, yearling, ewe lamb, and six quarts of fine flour mixed with olive oil, plus a cup of olive oil.
11 And the priest that pronounces him clean will present the man that is being cleansed and his offering to the I AM at the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
12 And the priest will offer one of the he lambs and the cup of oil as a guilt offering, lifting them up as a wave offering to the I AM.
13 And he will kill the lamb in the same place where he kills the sin offering and the burnt offering, the holy place, because the guilt offering is the priest's just like the sin offering. It is most holy.
14 The priest will take some of the guilt offering's blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and on his right thumb, and on his right, big toe.
15 And the priest shall take some of the cup of oil, and pour it into his left palm,
16 And he will dip his right finger in the oil, and will sprinkle it with his finger seven times before the I AM.
17 And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand he will put on the tip of the right ear, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of the right foot of the one that is to be cleansed, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.
18 And the rest of the oil in the priest's hand he will pour on the head of him that is being cleansed, and the priest will make a payment for him before the I AM.
19 The priest will then offer the sin offering, and make a payment for him that is being cleansed from his uncleanness. After that, he will kill the burnt offering,
20 And the priest will offer the burnt offering and the food offering on the altar, making a payment for him, and then he will be clean.
21 If he is poor, and cannot get the full offering, then he must take one lamb for a guilt offering to be waved, to make a payment for him, and two quarts of fine flour mixed with oil for a food offering, and a cup of oil,
22 And two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, whatever he is able to get. One will be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.
23 He will bring them to the priest on the eighth day for his cleansing. Bring it to the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, before the I AM.
24 And the priest will take the lamb of the guilt offering, and the cup of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the I AM.
25 He will kill the lamb of the guilt offering, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of the right foot of the one who is being cleansed,
26 And the priest will pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand,
27 And sprinkle it with his right finger seven times before the I AM.
28 Then the priest will put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of the right foot, of the one who is being cleansed, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.
29 And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put on the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make a sin-payment for him to the I AM.
30 He must offer one of the turtledoves, or young pigeons, whatever he can get.
31 One for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the food offering, and the priest will make a sin Payment for him that is being cleansed before the I AM.
32 This is the law for those who have the plague of leprosy, whose is not able to get what is required for to his cleansing.
Signs of Home Contamination
33 The I AM spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,34 When you arrive in the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house,
A "plague of leprosy in a house" would be molds and mildews.
35 The owner of the house will come and tell the priest, saying, "It looks to me like there is as a plague in the house."
36 Then the priest must give a command that they empty the house, before he goes into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house is not made unclean. Then the priest will go in to see the house.
37 And he shall look at the plague, and if it is in the walls of the house with greenish or reddish hollow strakes, which look lower than the wall;
38 Then the priest will leave the house, and close it up for days.
39 Seven days later, the priest will go look at the house. If the plague has spread in the walls,
40 Then the priest must command that they take away the stones that have the plague, and they will throw them into an unclean place outside the city.
41 And he will make them scrape the inside of the house all around, and pour out the dust that they scrape off outside the city in an unclean place.
42 And they will take different stones, and put them in the place of the stones they took away, and use different mortar, and replaister the house.
43 And if the plague appears again in the house, after the stones have been replaced and the house was scraped and replastered.
44 Then the priest will go look, and if the plague is spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy and the house is unclean.
45 The house must be broken down, stones, timber, and everything, and it all carried outside the city to an unclean place.
46 What's more, anyone who goes into the house while it is shut up, will be unclean until evening.
47 And anyone who eats or sleeps in the house must wash his clothes.
Cleansing a Home
48 If the plague hasn't spread in the house when the priest looks at it after it's plastered, then he will pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.49 The priest will take two birds, and cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and a branch of hyssop to cleanse the house,
50 And he will kill the one of the birds in a clay pot held over running water,
51 And he must take the cedar wood, hyssop branch, scarlet yarn, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.
52 This is how he will cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, the living bird, cedar wood, hyssop branch, and the scarlet yarn.
53 But he will let the living bird go outside the city in the open fields, and make a sin payment for the house, and it will be clean.
54 This is the law for all types of plagues of leprosy, and scally outbreaks,
55 And for mildews and molds in cloth and houses,
56 And for a swelling, scab, or discolored skin.
57 To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean. This is the law of leprosy.
